Wolf Moon.................. |

Hello everyone,
Sorry about being out of the loop of blogging, I've had a lot of new things going on....all positive things! So I have to mention that I loved the rain, it really cleared the air and nurtured our deserts....we needed it!
I would like to talk about the full moon that is happening this weekend!!! It is the Wolf moon....... 2010 Wolf Moon will appear big and very bright tonight. The first full moon of the year is also known as the wolf moon. The moon appears wider and fuller than any other moon of the year. The name wolf moon came from the hungry wolf packs that howled at the moon near Native American villages hundreds of years ago. Wolf Moon is also referred to as the old moon and moon after Yule. This full moon will appear 14% wider and 30% brighter than a typical full moon, according to Spaceweather.com This weekend is going to be a great time to make strong intentions for change and manifesting what it is that you would like in your life. Their are many ways to go about this, one way is to create a full moon ceremonies of your own or with friends & family. I have participated full moon ceremonies that have been pretty simple, with perhaps a pinch or two of pagan tradition thrown in. Each person in the circle takes his turn throwing in scraps of paper into a fire that is then watched turn into ashes. The scraps of paper have words written down on them of those things we were releasing or vowing to change in our lives. Yes, a full moon ceremony can be as simple as that. Try it, it is very freeing and healing to!!!
Oh, and if your trying to grow your hair fuller and longer........get a trim this weekend, I am!!! Another thing......don't shave, pluck or wax this weekend.......it will only make things thicker and bushier...lol!!!
Create a beautiful weekend and hope to see you soon!!! |

Wednesday |
Here we are in the middle of the week........counting down the days till Christmas! We have 23 days left to finish our shopping, make crafty gifts and baked goods for our friends and loved ones and put up the Christmas tree......I hope you enjoy every day and moment as if presents itself to you and vanishes into the past. Don't forget to breathe when you feel that holiday tension creeping up on you........this is one of the most stressful times of the year, but it is only as stressful as you let it be. Some of us have been affected by the economy and need to budget, this is when you need to get creative and use your resources and time to make gifts! Here are a few ideas that I have done in the past that everyone just loved!
1. I bought a $25 gift card from Harkins, which comes with a free popcorn coupon....went to the Dollar store and bought a basket, some movie candy and a couple drinks.......add whatever your little heart desires and use the tissue or shredded paper to fill around everything. You have a nice gift under $30 dollars.
2. Make some homemade salsa, buy some mason jars to put the salsa in and seal them in hot water......after they cool, wrap a ribbon around the jar. (note that these do not have to be refrigerated until they are opened) Google some different salsas that you can make to personalize your gift. This gift is usually under $20 depending on how much you need to make.
3. One more simple idea that I have done, get a pic of you with your family and maybe even your animals.....just use your own camera and get a fun and natural pic. If you have a costco membership you can have 50 Christmas cards with the envelope made with your pic for $15! I like writing a letter to summarize only the positive things that happened that year.
Ok, here are three wonderful ideas from me to you..........happy holidays!!!
Ever since me and Emma have been advertising our $40 an hour coffee special from 9:30am to noon (monday-friday's only), we have been booking our mornings quick........so please call the day before or sooner, and we will sometimes accommodate earlier hours if you just ask :)
Our regular prices are $50 an hour after noon. See you soon!!!
